General Cleanup Steps for Clean booting:

• In Windows 98, use MSCONFIG
• Remove Startup Folder contents
• Remove Registry Run key elements
• Remove Config.sys and Autoexec.bat Elements
• Step By Step Startup: Registry Yes. CS, AB NO, Drivers No
• Safe Mode:
• Turn on all Troubleshooting Elements
• Remove excess devices in Device Manager
• Disable devices
• Logged Booting - check bootlog.txt for failures
• Have no WIN.INI and minimal SYSTEM.INI based on system.CB
